Product Overview

The Post Snap Hood Hinge - Injection Molded is a hood hinge that is used to join the hood doors of the Giraffe™ Incubator. An incubator is an enclosed apparatus in which premature babies are placed, which provides a controlled and protective environment for their care. The baby is kept inside the incubator by opening the hood, which is supported by hood hinges. This hood hinge is used for rotatory motion of the hood. Hinge installation can be done by using simple hand tools. The injection molding manufacturing process helps to achieve good product consistency. It often uses Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic for the process. ABS plastic has good scratch resistance, since it has the ability to melt down easily they can be sculpted down into different shapes during the injection molding process. ABS plastic is resistant to many plasticizers and has excellent ductility. The hood hinge is used in Giraffe™ Carestation Incubator and Giraffe™ OmniBed.
