Product Overview
The 9 Volt Battery Relocation Kit are used in Giraffe™ OmniBed® and Giraffe™ Incubator, they use this battery unit as an emergency back-up. The battery kit is used to relocate the battery by using hex key and needle nose pliers from inside the electrical enclosure to the wall of the probe panel housing, this is to reduce ambient heat and prolong battery life. This battery re-locator kit includes the battery, battery holder with adhesive and wire harness assembly with strain relief connectors which is used for relieving the stress from the cable connections to prevent breaking. It is located in the base of the connector where the connector meets the cable and usually comes pre-molded as part of the connector itself. The battery is made up of a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) material with a protective cap. The NiMH batteries can be recharged hundreds of times. Nickel-metal hydride batteries operate on an exothermic, hydrogen-based charging and an oxygen recombination process.
